The film features a scene in which a main character tricks a woman into sleeping with him by pretending to be her boyfriend, something that is far from comedic by today’s standards. The Jazz Singer, 1927 – A Historic Film with a Major Issue

Grease, 1978 – A Classic Musical with a Troubling Message
Grease is still a fan favorite, but its central message, essentially that Sandy needs to change everything about herself to get the guy, does not sit well today. The lyrics of “Summer Nights” also raise some eyebrows, with Danny bragging about pressuring Sandy into something she clearly was not into. The Mask of Fu Manchu, 1932 – Yellowface and Racist Stereotypes
This adventure film is infamous for its racist depiction of Asian characters, particularly the villainous Fu Manchu, played by Boris Karloff in yellowface. The dialogue is filled with xenophobic lines and the entire movie is based on fearmongering about Asian culture. It is a relic of its time, but one that feels downright offensive today.
