Think You Know Bad Movies? Try To Identify These Disasters From Just One Screenshot!
Some movies are so bad that they are unforgettable. Whether it is laughable dialogue, cringe worthy acting or CGI disasters, these films have earned their place in cinematic infamy. But how well do you really know the worst of the worst? Let us put your knowledge to the test. Can you identify these cinematic disaster from just a single screenshot?
The Room (2003)

A movie so unintentionally hilarious that it became a cult classic, The Room is packed with awkward dialogue, bizarre acting, and scenes that makes no sense. Tommy Wiseau’s infamous “Oh hi, Mark!” moment is just the tip of the disaster iceberg. If you have not seen it, you are missing out on one of the greatest “so bad it is good” experiences in cinema history.
Battlefield Earth (2000)

John Travolta’s passion project turned into an epic sci-fi failure, with characters buried under heavy makeup and a ridiculous amount of tilted camera angles. The plot, involving enslaved humans and evil alien overlords, is as confusing as it is absurd. With over the top acting and laughable dialogue, this film is a masterclass in how not to make a sci-fi blockbuster.
Catwoman (2004)

Halle Berry’s portrayal of Catwoman strays so far from the source material that it feels like an entirely different character. Filled with bad CGI, weird basketball scenes and an unmemorable villain, it was a major letdown for fans. Even Berry herself accepted a Razzie Award for Worst Actress with a good sense of humor about this catastrophe.
Gigli (2003)

Despite starring two of Hollywood’s biggest names at the time, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Gigli is an unwatchable mess with cringe worthy dialogue and zero chemistry. The films attempts at being a romantic crime comedy falls flat, making it one of the most infamous box office bombs ever. It is so bad that Affleck himself has joked about wanting to erase it from history.
Troll 2 (1990)

Marketed as a sequel to Troll, despite having no connection, this movie features vegetarian goblins, bizarre performances and laughable special effects. The film’s “Oh my God!” scene became one of the most meme worthy moments in cult cinema history. It is so terribly made that it inspired a documentary “Best Worst Movie” dedicated to its legacy.
Movie 43 (2013)

Featuring a glamourous cast, this film is a collection of comedy sketches that range from tasteless to downright horrifying. Even actors like Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and Halle Berry could not save it from being one of the worst reviewed comedies ever. With jokes that fall flat and an unbearable level of awkwardness, it is a mystery how this got made at all.
The Happening (2008)

M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller about killer plants and suicidal humans is more laughable than terrifying. Mark Wahlberg’s confused expressions and lines like “What? No!” have become legendary in bad movie history. Despite its serious premise, it is remembered more as an accidental comedy than a suspenseful horror film.
Super Mario Bros. (1993)

This video game adaptation turned the bright and fun world of Super Mario into a weird cyberpunk dystopia, with barely any resemblance to the source material. Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo later admitted they hated working on it and it is easy to see why. Between the bizarre version of Bowser and the completely nonsensical plot, this film is a true gaming nightmare.
Batman & Robin (1997)

If you love cheesy one liners and neon lit Gotham, then this disaster of a superhero film is for you. George Clooney’s stiff performance as Batman, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s endless ice puns “Chill out!” and rubber bat nipples makes this one of the most infamous comic book movie flops ever. It was so bad that it nearly killed the Batman franchise until Batman Begins revived it years later.
Dragonball: Evolution (2009)

A complete betrayal of Dragon Ball fans, this live action adaptation whitewashed characters, changed the story and turned Goku into a generic high school student. The CGI was laughably bad, and the fight scenes lacked any of the excitement from the anime. To this day, fans pretends that this movie never existed.
The Emoji Movie (2017)

A film about talking emojis trying to save their phones operating system sounds like a joke, but somehow it became real. With shameless product placement, an awkward dance finale and a completely forgettable story, it is no surprise this movie was universally panned. Even kids were not impressed, proving that not all animated films are automatic hits.
Jack and Jill (2011)

Adam Sandler playing both himself and his annoying twin sister was already a recipe for disaster. Throw in an unhinged Al Pacino romance subplot and some of the worst comedic writing ever, and you get one of the most painful comedies of all time. Even Sandler fans agreed that this one went too far.
Love them or hate them, bad movies have a way of sticking with us sometimes even more than good ones. Whether you have laughed at their ridiculousness or regretted every second of watching, these films have cemented their place in cinematic failure history. Whether you aced this challenge or discovered some new guilty pleasures, one thing is clear: Hollywood has no shortage of epic flops. So, how many did you recognize and which ones do you secretly love despite their awfulness?
