How does a movie get so bad? At what point do the many, many people working on a film realize that they aren't producing something good? Is it really that hard to smell the stink while you're working on it? Maybe that's a bit of an over reaction. I don't think Hex is as bad as, say The Spirit. It's bad but it's not the worst film ever made.

But you still have to ask yourself why they kept going forward on this when it must have been clear at some point that it wasn't working.

I don't know a lot about the comic Jonah Hex but I am pretty sure that they changed the heck out of his story. I don't get that. Why not tell the story of Hex instead of making up a new one under this name? And if you are going to make up a new story, why not come up with a good story?

I don't think that the comic book character raises the dead. Why add that? There are just so many things about this movie that make you go "why did someone think that was a good idea?"

I am glad I'm not a fan of Jonah Hex cause I am sure I would be upset that the character is so mistreated. Lump Jonah Hex in with the Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider and countless other comic book characters whose shot at the big screen was mishandled and screwed up.
