Everyone knows I love a good weeper. I normally don't enjoy football or football movies but this one has Sandra Bullock in it so I thought I would give it a chance.

Well it scored a touchdown for me. I had a good cry, starting early on when our hero, Michael, is informed his estranged father dies, through the part when Bullock adopts him into her home, in pretty much right through the end. That's a good film.

I loved that the film was both a sports movie for those fans with lots of great sport sequences, but also had the emotional family drama for those who like a feel good story. This would make a great date film with something for everyone. Even families can enjoy it along with the great message that lies not so far under the surface about accepting people and truly caring about your neighbor.

Bullock is great in these movies and she's great here. She takes it up a notch from her usual romantic comedies and gives a good performance that is touching and funny. Tim McGraw is even good. I don't know if he has acted in many films before but he's pretty good in this one.

The film may not be that deep and might simplify things but it remains very entertaining and moving. I spike the ball and do a little dance of celebration.
